Reported Arsenal target Bernard has posted a picture of himself in London however it seems like he is just on his way from Brazil to Ukraine and there is nothing to be getting excited about from an Arsenal point of view.
According to his club Arsenal said they would bid for him but didn’t and the player himself said he was travelling to Shakhtar Donetsk to see their facilities but that he had not decided on his future.
The player told TV Alterosa about his trip to Ukraine
“It’s just a visit, there won’t be any medical.
“Nothing is certain and I won’t sign any documents.
“I made it clear to them that I would only visit so that I could see their facilities.”
Bernard is staying at the London Hilton on Park Lane and some have asked why he would be staying at a hotel if he was just catching a connecting flight but as I don’t know the schedule of flights in to London from Brazil and out of the city to Ukraine I couldn’t answer that question.
There has been a lot of talk linking Arsenal with Bernard and L’Equipe even claimed that a deal was done to bring the player to Arsenal. This proved to be incorrect and according to reports since then Arsenal have not bid for the player and only Shakhtar have met his asking price.
I’ve posted this here so that it’s clear the player is just passing through the city before it is reported elsewhere without that vital bit of information.
